John and his father Wilmer produce very high quality, complex coffees
Finca Las Brisas in Acevedo, Colombia
Papayo is a relatively newly discovered variety that grows exclusively in the Huila region of Colombia. The name comes from its shape, which resembles that of a papaya. Our relatively light roasted espresso gives an incredible blend of complexity and balance. Very clear, but still playful.

Packaging = Helping our yield pick
It was only because we helped ourselves that the beautiful play of colors on the packaging came about, because normally there are no green spots of color in the bucket - but for amateurs like us it's not that easy to try to be quick and not pick any green cherries.

Our goal was to pick around 1000 cherries, but we probably missed that goal in the end. However, it was nice to see that the workers were happy about our contribution - certainly not about our subpar performance, but about a bit of variety and entertainment. Making fun of two clumsy people is probably amusing in Colombia too... You can find out everything about our experience picking cherries here.
