Finca Santa Margarita, El Salvador
MAV Coffee has opted to grow Sarchimor to increase the resilience of the plants and the reliability of the harvest. Sarchimor was originally considered to be of lower quality, but MAV's focus on natural cultivation has resulted in outstanding quality.
Finca Santa Margarita had been neglected for a long time as parts of the family did not believe in growing coffee. In the end, the relatives were persuaded and work was resumed.
Now, after all these years, the first harvest is back: and nothing embodies the joy of experimentation of Miguel Antonio and Don Julio (the main players behind the coffee) more than the result of this harvest.

Packaging = The floor in the old “oficina” of the finca
The packaging of the coffee shows the floor in the old office of the finca, which like everything else (apart from the cupping table) is still in its original condition.
Our personal, self-made postcard
The Chechito Express is the locals' means of transportation between the districts of Sonsonate and Ahuachapán. It is also a real feast for the eyes and adds to Juayúa's charm. You see it there all the time and look forward to it every time - which is why it adorns our postcard. The mini-magazine contains all the stories from our trip to Juayúa to MAV Coffee.
